The U13 tournament will determine the divisions for U14 for the fall 2015. Participation in this tournament is mandatory for any team that wishes to be in D-1 or D-2 for the fall. Teams who qualify for the round robin game will automatically have a D-2 place regardless of their performance in the tournament.
Due to the fact that tryouts are prior to these matches, teams may modify their rosters based on the tryouts. You may add players who have been added to the team for next fall season and drop players who have gone elsewhere. Guest players are not allowed.
Depending upon the number of teams who apply there may be playdown games to determine the final participants. Playdown games will be self scheduled with the higher seed being the home team. You will need to notify this office 3 days prior to the match to obtain referees.
The tournament will be held June 13th & 14th at the Lancaster Fields. The format will be as follows:
Four places will be awarded in D-1. These will be the 2 State Cup finalists and the 2 top teams in the Blue Section. If the State Cup finalists do not want a place the automatic qualifiers will come from the next finishers in the Blue Section.
16 teams will divided into 4 groups and play round robin games on Saturday and Sunday. The winners of these 4 groups will have D-1 places. The 2nd place finishers in these groups will play each other, best record v worst record, 2nd v 3rd, to determine to final 2 places in D-1.
Qualification for the tournament will be as follows:
Boys: All the remaining teams from the Blue Section (probably 4), plus the top 5 teams in the Green Section and the top team in the Navy Section will automatically qualify for the tournament for a total of 10 teams.
The remaining 6 teams will determined as follows:
The remaining 3 teams in the Green Section, the next 3 teams in the Navy Section, the 3 top teams in the Orange Section, the top 2 teams in the Purple Section and the winner of a preliminary playdown game between top team in the Red & White Sections will qualify for the playdown games to determine the final 6 teams. If a team meets the qualification criteria and opts not to play in the tournament their acceptance does NOT drop down to the next place team who has declared for the tournament.
Girls:
Note: The SS Select U13 team currently playing in G14-1 will be seeded into the tournament.

Registration for the tournament will be on line at the end of April and will be due in the MAPLE office by May 10th. To register login to your club and click the tournament you wish to register for. Then select the teams you wish to register and follow the instructions. The fee for the tournament is $150. It must be received by the MAPLE office by May 15th. Payment is only available by check. Any team who does not qualify will have their check returned. The fee pays for the tournament; it is not a deposit on the fall season.
